Education About Our Natural Heritage

Since 1989, the Lake Parks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has worked in concert with the Lake Metroparks Board of Park Commissioners and staff. The Lake Parks Foundation has provided invaluable support to the citizens of Lake County in nourishing one of Lake County's finest assets: its park system.

Your Lake Parks Foundation

Through the Lake Parks Foundation, you can make a difference for Lake Metroparks. The Lake Parks Foundation provides special projects and programs at the parks, such as scholarships for children, exemplary hands-on exhibits, and state-of-the-art facilities. The Lake Parks Foundation's mission is to support Lake Metroparks efforts by funding programs and projects, especially in education, that would not otherwise be possible.

Over 1000 children per year are awarded camperships and scholarships.
